Senior Product Experience Designer – Monitoring Solution (m/f/x)

As a Senior Product Experience Designer, you'll join a global team of about 30 designers/UX practitioners sitting across our R&D labs in Poland, Austria, Spain, and the United States. You will focus on improving the end-to-end UX of Infrastructure Monitoring, working in close collaboration with product managers, software engineers, and of course other design practitioners.

Your role at Dynatrace

  • Own the product UX end-to-end journeys for specific target audiences within our Infrastructure Monitoring Solution and iteratively analyze and improve the experience around automatic and intelligent observability at scale for process detection and resource utilization, network usage and performance, log monitoring, third-party data, and event integration on all infrastructure, including cloud, hybrid, containers and Kubernetes, VMs, network, storage, and more. All in context, and with precise AI-powered answers.  

  •  Be hands-on to visualize, prototype, test, and measure design solutions – e.g., with information architecture, user flows, wireframes, mockups, but also qualitative and quantitative research. 

  • Plan and perform all needed research (on user and the competitive landscape), collect and analyze data, define pain points, prioritize their resolution, and translate insights from both qualitative & quantitative data to inform your designs. 

  • Act as a customer advocate while continuously partnering with product managers, product owners, experience leads, and other design practitioners to maintain consistency across design approaches for all the products and establish collaboration patterns and a shared understanding of the goals. 

  •  Uphold user-centered design principles and evangelize its methodologies and values to stakeholders, cross-department teams, and subject matter experts.

What will help you succeed

  • Several years of experience (likely 5+) designing, shipping, and iterating on digital software products and systems — not just websites or campaigns. Much preferably enterprise software as well.   

  •  Ability to work through design problems from beginning to end — translating insights from research and analytics into concepts that form new products and features, and designing the detailed workflows, interactions, and user interfaces required to make them a reality.  

  • Significant previous experience and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary, and geographically dispersed, teams (e.g., design, product management, engineering, research, customer support).  

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, to help people across the company understand the rationale behind design proposals and the complex nuances of design problems.  

  • Motivated self-starter with an evident growth mindset — strong desire to improve things, willing to own problems, at comfort with ambiguity, and with a balanced sense of optimism and humility. Ability to proactively involve relevant stakeholders in things like concept ideation workshops, research support, SME inquiries, etc. Lead potential. 

  •  Ability to push the boundaries of best-in-class experiences and effectively communicate the impact and value of UX to the business. 

  •  Portfolio of past projects [required] that clearly outlines the problems and/or business opportunities taken on with such design work. That should mostly touch on the process applied to find solutions and overcome challenges, rather than focusing just on visual polish or final deliverables.

Compensation and rewards 

  • We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.   

  • Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 60,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38,5 hours/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
