Vice President of Sales, APAC Region

Dynatrace is looking for a  Vice President of Sales to lead our APAC sales team. The  ideal candidate has successfully managed and grown a successful sales team in the APAC region having built   scalable processes and implemented strategies that have shown measurable success and outcomes.  This Sales Leader has demonstrated the ability to meet and exceed sales targets in order to increase year-over-year revenue. In addition, they have the capability and experience to accurately forecast growth in the region. Coaching and professional development are critical to this role - you will be working with highly motivated sales professionals in the APAC region as well as other parts of the world, and will be responsible for helping them drive results and achieve a higher level of proficiency in their roles. This position reports to the Chief Revenue Officer based in North America. 

  • Oversee all revenue in APAC. This position has VP's or Sr./Directors direct reports in  ANZ, ASK, Greater China, Japan, and India.

  • Recruit, develop, and oversee the enablement of highly effective and successful sales leaders and professionals (new business expansion and acquisition Account Executives).

  • Oversee the day-to-day activity including sales forecasting and pipeline management in a high growth selling environment.

  • Build and develop a land and expand strategy designed to shorten sales cycles while increasing net-new logo acquisition and long-term company value

  • Effectively manage sales process and pipeline to provide projections with a high level of predictability and accuracy.

  • Work collaboratively across all departments to ensure that the rapidly expanding needs of the sales organization are met.

  • Monitor and refine sales lead processes, metrics, and tools to maximize success on the team.

  • Deliver the target financial performance from the accounts and APAC regions.

  • Inspire team to consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.

  • Lead and motivate a multi-layer management team that oversees the generation of qualified sales opportunities through to closure, utilizing support from partners, sales engineering and business development.

  • Partner with sales operations and global sales leaders to consistently evaluate that the sales processes and methodologies used are effective in helping to grow the business.

  • Plan for the capabilities and top talent needed to support accelerated growth targets.

  • Work collaboratively across all departments to ensure that the rapidly expanding needs of the International sales organization are met.

  • Manage expenses within International sales budget in support of the company’s overall profitability.

  • Preserve a culture of accountability, commitment and excellence across the sales team.

  • Support all operational functions of a multi-layer management team that oversees the generation of qualified sales opportunities through to closure; utilizing support from partners, sales engineering and business development.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers, industry influencers and key partners.

  • Travel when necessary to meet potential prospects, partners and customers.

  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement of everyone's role

What will help you succeed

  • 10+ years sales management experience with a record of achievement in developing successful APAC sales teams and sales strategy ideally for a leading software or enterprise platform sales company.

  • Leadership experience with strategic planning and execution.  In depth experience with sales reporting, territory planning management, and incentive compensation.

  • Exceptional consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.

  • Strong leadership presence and ability to inspire and communicate vision of excellence.

  • Proven track record of leading sales teams to constantly overachieve goals and exceed revenue expectations in a high-accountability environment.

  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling a sizable field sales organization in a high-growth environment.

  • Strategic thinker with an ability to lead by example and embrace change with positive attitude.

  • Process focused; ability to reinforce internal processes and recommend enhancements to gain efficiency where applicable.

  • Possess both a sales and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects.

  • Domain expertise is preferred.

  • High-energy, with a passion for success.

  • Native English fluency is required.

  • This role does involve travel, up to 50%.
