Your role at Dynatrace
As Team Captain you care of a Full Stack Development Team, her individual team members and their talents, strengths, and creativity so that they are leveraged to maximum effect. You foster teamwork and cultural attributes, help others in driving value creation and product delivery, and support Directors of Software Development (Dev Dir) with formal tasks that concern the Dev Team and the needs of individual team members. You look after rising the quality bar of the team. In a nutshell, you are the leader of the development team.
Live, support and develop the Dynatrace values and culture.
Handle 1:1 sessions with all team members (mentor and help them find the right path to grow in Dynatrace).
Organize team-building events to increase the bonding of the team.
Encourages and empowers the team to improve and implement changes to become their best version.
Ensure knowledge sharing, performance, communication, and motivation within the team.
Identify and handles issues.
Conducts interviews and assesses the suitability of candidates.
Supports initiatives that might improve our organization.
Ensure team is organized and structured in alignment to the lab goals and team / individual needs.
Work closely with the Director in terms of team structure (assess readiness and drives the formal promotions process), performance, and engineering quality bar.
What will help you succeed
At least 3-5 years' experience in Software Engineering in any of languages (i.e Java/C++).
Fantastic leadership skills: from mentoring and guiding other engineers to communication.
Walk the talk when it is about problem resolution.
Acute sense of caring for the team, to drive her to excellence.
Ideally you have some experience in mentoring, onboarding, team leadership.
Able to distinguish the good, the bad and the ugly in terms of engineering practices and provide feedback about it.
