Lead Database Architect
Your role at Dynatrace
Our Business Insights team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to help us unlock the full potential of the enormous data volume we receive every minute. In this role, you'll own the data stack and architecture behind our data products. Responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain data platforms.
Investigate, test, and deploy new tools for data and database management.
Monitor databases to optimize database performance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Support existing infrastructure, integrate new features, and implement the organization's future data architecture.
Build and Implement automation for production deployment.
Develop strategic solutions to recurring problems and resolve complex and high-scale data-related issues.
Work with diverse teams and users, from data engineers to data analysts.
Be a center of knowledge, consult, guide, support, and share your expertise with others.
Manage scalability, error recovery, monitoring, alerting, and security.
Deploy and manage physical data models.
What will help you succeed
Minimum Requirements:
At least five years of experience in Data Architecture and Database Administration (ideally applied to BI systems).
Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Terraform, and other programming languages.
High proficient in query, index and performance tuning, stored procedures, and SQL coding.
Strong DB administration skills for all DB maintenance plan activities, including backups, indexing, integrity, and consistency checks.
3+ years experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems, performance tuning, and optimization
Demonstrated ability to proactively identify, design, and implement process improvements like automating manual processes, optimizing data flow, increasing scalability, etc.
Knowledge of Snowflake and AWS security features, including access control, authentication, authorization, encryption, masking, secured views, etc.
3+ years experience in working and maintaining Amazon Web Services.
3+ years experience with DevOps tools such as Kubernetes and Jenkins.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Tableau and Dataiku is a plus.
Experience delivering big data and machine learning solutions in a cloud environment.
Expertise in Linux OS maintenance and bash programming.
Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative field.
