The Sr Director, Change Management leader will provide an expert level of support in the company’s effort to develop and imbed a culture of change agility. This position will focus on the people side of change for transformation initiatives that impact business processes, policies, job roles and organization structures along with acquisition integrations. This position works closely with senior organizational leaders in partnership with HR business partners and corporate communications to assess, develop and implement change engagement plans, provide guidance to leaders on “leading through change” and assist in the development of change artifacts.
What you'll get to do:
Contracts, leads, and provides coaching on large scale, complex and high-profile initiatives. Applies change methodologies and tailors them to specific projects and initiatives. Draws on research, best practices and experiences and incorporates them into current and future solutions.
Collaborate with Readiness leaders, project managers, Communications, HR centers of excellence to align on a change methodology for the company.
Document the aligned process and develop appropriate toolkits for: leading through change, initiative change management, project management and acquisition integration.
Collaborate with L&D to develop education programs for leaders, employees and general awareness for change management.
Develops meaningful relationships with critical stakeholders, understand their diverse functional needs, expectations, concerns, and capabilities.
Works with senior function leadership and HR business partners to build the case for proposed changes. Gains alignment for recommended actions and leverages internal/external resources to achieve desired outcomes.
Applies understanding of business goals, gaps, and opportunities to assess the impact of the change, develop and execute Change Management Plans and identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics for identified change areas.
Design strategies to encourage, develop, and support the ability of project sponsors, senior leaders, and people managers in leading through change. Provides objective feedback, challenges assumptions with courageous professionalism.
Evaluates and measures the effectiveness of the change management process and tools along with change management engagement efforts to ensure desired outcomes are achieved and lessons learned are shared; adjust process, tools and training as needed based on learnings.
Manage portfolio of change initiatives and serves as the spokesperson on new developments and/or significant program changes.
Background in Organizational Development, Communications, Education, Business Administration, Human Relations, or a related field.
8+ years of direct experience developing and leading transformational change initiatives.
Experience working in highly complex global environments; with rapidly changing priorities, confronting challenges directly and influencing stakeholders
Ability to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal/influence skills in dealing with multiple levels of management, develop relationships within the organization, and leverage the formal and informal organizational structure to assist in goal achievement.
Excellent analytic, problem solving and coaching skills, with the ability to take a thoughtful data driven approach to addressing challenge.
Ability to think strategically and develop systems, processes and programs that are simple yet effective with the willingness to be hands on.
Demonstrated experience designing and guiding complex change initiatives and supporting materials including training, communication collateral and detailed project plans.
Previous experience working with global co-located client groups.
