What’s the role?
Reporting to the Director of Accounting (EMEA), the Accounting Manager (EMEA) is ultimately responsible for the final Trial Balances for several European entities managed by the Maidenhead based EMEA Finance Shared Service Centre. This person, supported by a team of Financial Accountants, will be responsible for monthly management of accounts within the region, monthly reporting/tax compliance and yearly audits amongst other responsibilities. This role will require a leader who can develop and mentor their team, as well as having technical accounting expertise to ensure accounting records are compliant.
This role works closely with other EMEA Accounting Managers, Financial Accountants, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Tax to ensure Dynatrace’s books and records are accurate and compliant with both US and local GAAPs as necessary.
This is a hybrid working position, candidates will be required to work 3 days p/week from our Maidenhead office.
Responsibilities:
Integral role in designing, improving & implementing Accounting policies and procedures
Train, develop and supervise the Accounting team lead to ensure deadlines are met
Maintain and improve upon control environment, ensuring SOX compliance.
Provide support to the team on high level query and issue resolution
Integral role in development, testing, and implementation of improvements on the processes that impact Finance, ensuring adequate controls are in place to meet audit and SOX requirements, efficiency is achieved, productivity is increased, and quality is not compromised
Monthly management accounts under US-GAAP:
Accruals/prepayments journals as necessary
Liaison with all members of the Shared Services Centre in the UK who will have input into those numbers to ensure accuracy and understanding
Management reporting to corporate deadlines incl. production of notes/commentaries
Full understanding and monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts to ensure accurate recording incl. payroll related accounts (commission, bonus, shares, ESPP and associated taxes)
Ensure compliance with ASC842 Lease accounting standard incl. reconciliation to corporate model
Ensure compliance with ASC606 Revenue and Commissions accounting standard
Monthly local reporting/tax compliance
Ensure all VAT returns are prepared and submitted in a timely manner
Work with Tax Manager to ensure VAT compliance
Prepare and submit any additional local statistical filing
Yearly audit under US and local GAAP
Timely completion of annual audit and tax calculations working in conjunction with local advisors and corporate auditors
Ensuring legal compliance with respect to filings and statutory reports
Perform Sox controls e.g. reviewing and approving of monthly Payroll
Supplier payment review and sign-off
Production of monthly cash flow forecast
Assist with the production of the quarterly and yearly tax package
Assist Tax Manager co-ordinate & manage tax audits
What will help you succeed
What we’re looking for
ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified with post qualification experience
Proven track record in leading and managing teams
Multi country, multi currency experience essential
US GAAP experience essential
Knowledge of SOX compliance would be advantageous
Technology industry and/or fast growth industry experience would be advantageous
Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills required, must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels in the organization
Excellent Excel skills
Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to engage others
Deadline driven with excellent attention to detail and a self-starter
Experience of NetSuite ERP advantageous
Experience of Blackline reconciliation system advantageous
