Senior Cloud Engineer - Governance (m/f/x)
Your role at Dynatrace
Our Cloud Governance team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the foundational configuration across all major hyperscalers – AWS, Azure, and GCP. We ensure consistent cloud standards by managing the Cloud Asset Inventory, maintaining baseline infrastructure components, and enforcing governance policies that support scalability, security, and operational efficiency. This team plays a critical role in enabling compliant and well-architected cloud environments across the organization.
Your Job Role
Design and implement organization-level cloud configurations across AWS, GCP, and Azure
Contribute to the maintenance of our Cloud Asset Inventory to ensure visibility and control
Apply GitOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices across all cloud platforms
Collaborate with platform and product teams to ensure seamless cloud integration
Stay up to date with hyperscaler offerings and evaluate new services for governance and automation
Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term cloud strategy
What will help you succeed
Essential Skills
Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure), familiarity with all three is a big plus
Strong understanding of cloud governance, security, and organizational configuration
Hands-on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, etc.) and GitOps workflows
Technical knowledge of [software | product] development processes and tools (Git, Jira, GitHub)
Ability to design scalable and maintainable cloud infrastructure
Passion for automation, clean architecture, and continuous improvement
Team player mindset with strong communication skills
Desirable Skills
Basic programming skills, preferably in Java, Typescript, or Python
Hands-on experience with Unix-based operating systems (Linux, BSD)
Experience with current technologies like containers, Kubernetes / OpenShift, Serverless functions, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub actions)

Compensation Data
We offer attractive compensation packages and stock purchase options with numerous benefits and advantages.
Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 60,000 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualification and experience.
