(Senior-) Java Performance Engineer (m/f/x)

Your role at Dynatrace

  • Performance is key to our success – explore different approaches to tune our product up to the optimal setup. 

  • As a member of the Cluster Performance Engineering Team you will focus on Dynatrace Platform performance analysis and improvements, identify bottlenecks and resolve them in collaboration with development teams.

  • You contribute to non-functional requirements improving the scalability and resilience of the Dynatrace Platform.

  • You ensure end-to-end continuous performance test coverage.

  • You work with our Site Reliability Engineering colleagues on in-depth-analysis of problems in production and constantly improve our automation framework for performance- and load-testing.

What will help you succeed

  • Technical studies related to Information Technology, Computer Science or similar

  • Experience in Java backend software development and Linux system engineering with a cloud native mindset

  • Expertise with some of the following technologies is beneficial: Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Apache Cassandra, Gatling, Jenkins

  • Basic knowledge of load-testing, performance diagnosis and Java profiling is an advantage. Ideally you have heard about object-churn and heap-dump-analysis

  • Passion for performance optimization

Compensation and rewards

  • Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 45,500 gross per year based on full-time employment (38.5 h/week). We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
